I think most people want to believe in corpos, they just are disillusioned because of everything that's happened. Judging the talents as being less "morally superior" is pretty cringe based off that metric. Even with Vshojo, the talents truly wanted to believe in the company and I imagine the handful of anons that migrated here from /vsj+/ wanted to as well. Organizations brought back Henya and Michi from not streaming ever again, the problem is the mismanagement. In a better world, there would be more resources for indies and more regulations/protections for talents going into a corpo.
That sentiment doesn't take away the hate for specific corpos though. I still remember what happened to Rin and co

I don't know about most but I prefer corpo content because I like gen dynamics and big events and the fact the structure forces vtubers, who are usually pretty shy and autistic, to come out of their shells. So I'm not against the idea of corpos in principle but I need them to be useful, transparent and competent. Sadly, no existing corpo is like that, and since vtubing is so monopolistic, and monopolies don't give up their position out of their own volition, the only way forward is dismantling and freeing the space up for hopefully better ones.
