It felt so good to watch this company die and to see it being disgraced like they deserve; they were a cancer to the industry, always were. Their target audience were never vtuber fans, their audience were always the normies that were into normal Twitch dudebro/e-thot streamers, the audience that actually hated the industry they were trying to force themselves into and hated the culture. Vhoejo didn't bring vtubing to the west, they brought e-whores and e-thottery to vtubing which in turn changed vtubing for the worst. The main draw of the company was that it was "safe and western", not icky, foreign and unfamiliar. They were the equivalent of localized anime garbage, where they took something so they could sanitize it in order for it to be safe for the westerners. Fuck this company and the damage it did to all of vtubing.

While I don't like you either, I agree that the loss of VShojo is a positive. I never really got into streamers because I had an impression of them all being, well, basically what VShojo is. It was only by chance that I discovered vtubers and realized streamers could be something more. And then as if to torment me, VShojo arose and grew in popularity while being exactly what I always hated about streaming.

The company is gone, but the e-whores are all still there. They might even be making more money now that they're not being scammed. How is this an improvement?

That's true for small 3views that leave their corpo, but most people that don't watch /BIG/ vtubers don't know that they've made their own box. All the 4views raid eachother, react to eachother's stuff, collab with eachother, etc. Pretty much all of the ex-VShojo members collabed with indies more than eachother, and most of them still plan on collabing with eachother so nothing is functionally different for viewers.

Brave's business system makes it difficult to compare with anything. They basically are just multiple smaller vtuber... stables? owned by one entity. There's little to no support or interference from Brave and if one group falls it's not dragging everything else down.
