why are the prizes so low
didn't this bitch spend over 200k USD in a year commissioning vanity art projects for her old persona?
I thought she just threw money away recklessly at people to get validation, these prizes seem insultingly low

She ran out of money and is heavily in debt after doing that flop concert for free and spending 10k in a bid for IronMouse's attention

Should have used that 10k as the prize for this instead of donating to someone who has never interacted with her before.

it is low compared to the amount of money she seemed eager to give out to artists for way less actual work
also, it might not be low for indie sponsored gamejams, but it absolutely is low for gamejams in general. any "big" gamejam has a much higher prize pool than this

this is asking for more work than any commission she has ever paid for. the amount of work she is asking for in exchange for a change to win 2k is crazy
there is a middle ground

If that's true, she'll get what she payed for then; a bunch low quality, hopefully entertaining shitposts. I don't see the problem. Some /asp/ies make a game jam with no awards? Thumbs up, sounds like a good time. Even if some sss-tier 5view makes a game jam and there's no prize, I think that's fine as long as it was fun for all involved.

I wonder what the perspective is of people who have never done a game jam? See a few people saying its a ton of work, but like do people not do hobby stuff for hours? I've made games for just personal fun so events like this where people will play them are cool.

Seems like creative contests have been killed by people who think everyone in these need to be hyper competitive. Like outside of this and the cdawg one they're basically all just for fun.

From what I've seen, she seems to prefer physical stuff like the wrestletuber belts.
She only uses cash prizes when she's unsure if anyone will even participate. What she really wants to distribute are whatever physical participation thing she's cooking, since one of her philosophies was that she wanted people to have a physical piece of history they can look back on.

So my guess is if this event is successful, she's gonna have wacky physical prizes for the next one
