Koyolabo Anime Night returns tomorrow 1 hour after Fund Adjustments. We will be watching episodes 1-5 of Thunderbolt Fantasy: Sword Travels in the East!
This will be the first of 2- 12 episodes seasons and 2 movies that we will be watching of Thunderbolt Fantasy. Due to me needing to personally edit the subtitles for seasons 3, 4, and the last movie for term and name consistency, we won't be watching the remaining parts of Thunderbolt Fantasy until a later undecided date.

Here is a small teaser for the first season:
In an Eastern-styled fantasy setting, a brother and sister team of sacred guardians is beset by the Black Demon Sect, minions of Betsu Ten Gai, who seeks the Sword of Divine Retribution that they possess. Gai's appearance leads to the defeat of the brother, but his sister, Tan Hi, jumps off a cliff to temporary safety. Later, a wandering swordsman comes across a ruined temple, where a statue of Buddha is protected by an umbrella against the rain. When he takes the umbrella for himself, a man resting under a tree nearby informs him that he must be compassionate to the next traveler he meets as a trade-off for taking the umbrella. That next traveler is Tan Hi, still being pursued by the Black Demon Sect minions. Both his promise and the enemy's sorcery leaves the wanderer unable to avoid getting involved.
