Double so for someone in a corpo where you have to look good for the brand.
One of the main reasons I think is the toxic fanbases. Some just develop unhealthy attachments and others are like 4chan

Competition is another factor due to the vtubing scene being so competitive, many vtubers are constantly compared to others, especially the more popular ones. When people start gaining huge followings, others feel the need to catch up, which can breed insecurity or make them feel like they’re not good enough, leading to burnout or resentment. Usually happens with just the 1-2views, but I'm sure Lumi has felt it before. It’s tough to stand out when everyone’s trying to do the same thing, and it’s easy to fall into this sort of comparison pitfall.
There's also the thing Phase is known for which is the mental and emotional toll this job has, becoming a sadgirl. Emotional labor involved in maintaining a vtuber persona is real. It’s not like an actor who can clock out of their role; vtubers often have to constantly be on, even in their downtime, which can blur the lines between their personal and public lives. It’s definitely not all bad, many vtubers love their communities and thrive in the space, but the darker side of the industry, especially with the toxicity, can make it a challenging career to sustain without burning out.
