i most humbly recommend sardines
a lot of vegetarians will make an exception for small fish like the sardine. plus it is packed with protein and healthy fats, and low in mercury (because it's low on the food chain). great on your choice of toast with some horseradish and greens, or on club crackers with a dash of hot sauce

while i personally agree that dropping vegetarianism is a good idea, it isn't necessarily the next step. i would instead suggest eating way larger quantities of the food you like to eat. "eating" is not a binary act, just because you "ate" doesn't mean you solved the problem. you need to eat a certain amount of food, equal or greater than the demand of your body. its like getting a $650 bill for taxes, you give them $50 and say you paid your taxes.

It's clear that her perception of fat is not the same as yours. When you eat one cracker and have to run to the mirror to check and make sure it didn't make you fat it's a full blown eating disorder. Anorexia has a massive fatality rate. She needs professional therapy, both mental and physical, and trying to deflect and deny and say it's just ARFID only gets in the way of that. There's clearly a body image component of this that extends beyond autism related food restrictions.

Nobody here wants to talk about how being a vtuber and thinking a massively unrealistic, tiny, idealized anime avatar is your true self is highly destructive for someone in her condition.

I'm not arm-chairing this. I get where you're coming from. I had an ED for years. I know at least some measure the blocks you've been battling for years. It was hell to alter my relationship with food and I still get really weird at times about what I eat, how and when I eat.
I just hope that this is finally the actual wake up call. No one wants to see you unhealthy, least of all you. But you're the only one who can make that meaningful change. Best wishes.

I care about you, Kiki, to an extreme degree.
If you had to be put in a medically induced coma or something and have the nutrients your body needs literally siphoned into you with an IV or something, just to get around your fear of eating, I would take that choice until you're medically cleared to stream again.

I honestly don't think kiki needs to abandon vegetarianism to fix her ARFID. If she was eating fish or meat she would have the same problem she does now (maybe worse with how she views meat), so I think the better path forward is for kiki to normalise eating more than one meal a day and for a meal to consist of more than a single cracker. I kow kiki is focus ing on eating different types of foods to fight against her ARFID but maybe it's better to just eat more of the food she is comfortable with at first and then every second or third day try something new. Kiki's problem right now is obviously volume, she just isn't eating enough to stop losing weight. One meal a day is what people do on crash diets to lose 2000 calories a day so if kiki really is only having one meal a day (and a small one at that) then she is realistically losing 1kg of weight every 1-2 weeks. Moving forward kiki really needs to get it through her head that only eating one meal a day is unhealthy and you at a minimum need two meals a day to be healthy, and ideally three meals a day. I think kiki can do it two. With this as a motivator I think she knows too that she needs to do more to be healthy and live. I believe in giggles and I know she can win and beat this.

if its a power issue i would think that she just needs a beefier psu for the pc. the audio interface is a external device and it should be getting power from its own source. idk if a "powered usb port" is going to solve the issue in fact, if what ever she is plugging into the port that would now have extra power could potentially short circuit something
