I don't know if I'd say I'm full-on anti, but I really do not cut FWMC any slack whatsoever and will blast them if I dislike something they've done, as well as join in on shit talking them if I see someone bring something up that annoys me.
Watched basically every stream of theirs up until August 2024, so their first anni. I really, really liked them for a long time. They busted ass, they got things they wanted done, they did collabs with JP and EN frequently enough. Shit felt like it really hit the fan in that August when they went to NYC and went home to their parent's place. They came back and suddenly there were cancellations all the time. Their content stilted towards doing things that would get them more subs instead of what was up to that point their regular content. Their solo streams became mainly a way to try and baby their audience and pamper them with words constantly instead of goofy, fun gaming time for a few hours a few times a week. Solo game streams too a huge hit, they started making excuses all the time, and their mindset seemed to go straight to homework the minute they hit 1m subs. They also generally started participating less and less on the EN side outside of Advent related things and the JP stuff ramped up even more. Roll it into stuff like Mococo saying the dumbest shit imaginable like "We don't want to be known as the twin vtubers who play Fate Stay Night" when commenting on if they'd continue to play Fate somewhat frequently, and some switch flipped in my brain. I knew stuff like VN content would be sparse, but we're at the point where solo gaming streams are sparse, and have had that for probably 6-9 months at this point. It makes everything feel like it's 'in service' of getting something else. More fans complaining about no DKC or other games we've been 'waiting to finish'? Better stick one on the schedule! That game we said we probably wouldn't play because we don't have a lot of time is getting good numbers? Sneak it in to a slot right before our bday live so we can advertise!
I don't need gamers, I don't need games every stream, but I do want someone who's at least somewhat interested in playing them sometimes, or wants to play things they really like so they can share the experience with their fans. Their To Heart and Nekopara streams recently were so good because it was something they actually wanted to share with us, was something that they have liked for a long time, and was important to them for various reasons and the passion showed. They came to the stream to play energized and excited, ready to go, and the streams were a blast. They can make good content for casual consumption, but they're so fucking focused on homework and ads.

You're probably gone from this thread and there's a good chance you didn't care/post this question in good faith in the first place but I keep seeing these fucking baits and threads all over the place and seeing as how /vt/ is a bunch of clip casuals, I'll try and answer the best as I can, as someone who used to be a Day 1 Kronie.

First of all, when people ask "What did Kronii do?" there will always be a bunch of trolls eager to jump in with responses like "SHE COLLABED WITH MEN" "SHE SAID UNFORTUNATELY IDOL CULTURE IS A THING" and "SHE PROMISED TO STOP COLLABING WITH MEN AND THEN DIDN'T." These answers are all wrong and everyone who posts them is a faggot. It doesn't even matter why they post them. Some of them are trolls just trying to stir the shit. Some of them honestly think that's what happened because they didn't follow Kronii and just listened to whatever troll post or dramatuber vid told them. Some are actual Kronies trying to make the Kronies that left look like unreasonable schizos. Whatever the case, every single answer that is along those three lines is wrong and can be discarded immediately.

What actually happened with Kronii was a little more complicated. Basically she first attempted to understand where her fans were coming from, and then abruptly did an about face and sided with the people calling them incels. It was a betrayal of trust on the deepest level, and whether or not she meant it this way is irrelevant, the effect was the same.

Basically Kronii did not have a lot of things going for her as a streamer early on. She had the Wada model and a nice voice. But she wasn't great at zatsudan, she wasn't great at games, and she wasn't great at singing, she also did karaoke pretty rarely. Which is fine, part of the joy of the Hololive experience is watching your streamer develop over time. Thus people had to find something else to latch onto and they did so by becoming parasocial with her. This wasn't helped by her choosing to watch a lot of "Gosling" movies in member streams like The Truman Show, and of course Ryan Gosling himself in Blade Runner and La La Land.

The male collab thing was not well received by this portion of the fanbase and they made their discontent known through long and lengthy posts in her community, trying to explain themselves as best they could. Whether they were CGDCTfags or just plain unicorns, or people who didn't like the drama that male collabs inevitably bring, they spelled out their grievances, for the most part as composed as they could be. I'd say the only person that came off close to being a unicorn was Aliaga Ayin's post and even that wasn't that deranged. Some of these posts were from long time members, people Kronii would actually talk and react to in chat, Kronies refer to such people as being on the "spreadsheet' which is an alleged list of her "favorite" members. The most notorious of this would be Gabe who was mentally ill and attention seeking from Day 1, but even his post wasn't that crazy.

The point is during a special unarchived member stream, Kronii took the time to read these posts, out loud on stream, in an effort to better understand what these people were unhappy about. And for a brief moment, that won her a lot of love and respect. While Reddit and Twitter were calling these people unicorns and incels, she actually took the time to read them, addressed their concerns, and even defended them, saying she didn't want people attacking her fans. She stated clearly, that while she would NOT stop doing male collabs, she would not initiate them, probably not tweet to them that much, and she would not stream her POV to them. This satisfied all but the most die hard unicorns, and again, even Aliaga Ayin was pacified. The point is, the Kronies that felt this way felt HEARD. She didn't just dismiss them out of hand, like others were doing.

Then less than a day later, she did this tweet, disappeared for a week, and when she came back said she would collab with whoever, whenever, and that was the end of it. There was no further discussion and at the same time the Hololive account made that proclamation against harassing the talents.

So in the eyes of the Kronies who felt betrayed, she had gone from understanding them and defending them, to siding with the people who mocked them and disparaged them, while running and hiding behind the skirts of the company from the inevitable backlash she had to know would follow. Honestly it would have been better if she had never done that unarchived members stream. She gave them hope that she understood, if not fully agreeing with where they came from, and then dashed it violently. That's why they hate her so much. It's not as simple as "male collabs" or "unfortunately idol culture is a thing" it is a real long standing feeling of betrayal and loss from people who watched her for over a year and thought they had a deeper understanding of their oshi and she them.

Anti is a bit of a strong word but I went from being a tako with every set of merch through from start through 2023 to just dropping Ina entirely. She's gone from streaming 5 days a week and finishing just about every game she starts to maybe one non-sponsored/event stream a week and every game half assed for one or two episodes and dropped afterwards.

The company is definitely pushing for this to be the case also.
They started doing this several years ago with a couple girls(Ayame,Gura) where they tried to make them mascots that do nothing but sell merch and do ad campaigns and those were the ones who kept not streaming.
They started doing this with Biboo recently as well so her hours are going to be cut down most of the time from here on out.

This is what idol culture is a giant scam to grift losers nonstop the streaming stuff isn't as lucrative for every day activities so they are cutting the amount of it.
There is clearly a lot of managerial pressure going on to constantly do #ads and sponsored streams and girls are leaving in part because of this and will continue to do so.

Antiing is too strong for what I feel towards them, but I can't bring myself to care about Saba and Nimi.
I liked them and their content when they were in holo. However, there was this heavy feeling of inauthenticity when they came back (or in Saba's case, after Gura announced graduation, but by then it was clear as hell she was trying to sever ties asap). It didn't feel like they were doing it for love of streaming or for their fans, it felt like they were ham-fistedly trying to sell a vtuber product. So I stopped caring after each of them shortly after. I don't actively anti these two, but I don't consoom any content they make.
