Indie vs Corpo dichotomy is outdated.
We have multiple Indie vtubers with money and connections strong enough to recreate and even outperform corporate support. We also have streamer support groups like Mythic that provide just basic help with merch/promo stuff and legal protection without interfering with content creation.

Realistically, now with the vshojo illusion broken, the only real option is becoming a client of one of those agencies.
The dream of starting with a small group in a big corpo is effectively dead. You need to somehow either go it alone, or go specifically into business with some friends.

Business-oriented girls who both want to and are able to make fun events or concerts like Doki and Filian are rare exceptions, not the norm. I wonder if Zen or Ironmouse is going to join in on that train or if they'll effectively give up on those without a brand handling the backend.

Though I do have hopes for some smaller girls like Kanna or Mariya to make things happen as they grow bigger, too.

Mint isn't joining Holo and has no plans to.
She likely will end up invited to relatively big concerts just off of her likeability and popularity. (and because Doki will make them happen come hell or high water)
As for why people want to work with her, she brings in a fuckton of money and has an entirely separate audience from holo, all of whom are 100% willing to pay anything and travel anywhere for their brand of idolshit.
If you can see the value of FuwaMoco, imagine that, but she's also bringing her own large, dedicated audience outside of the brand and an actual ability to lead and focus others.
She also has her own large network of idols, creators, and related people that she knows on a personal basis, and serious in depth knowledge of the medium.
These are a few of the reasons why people work with her, along with the fact that she's an extremely successful and entertaining streamer in her own right.
