They're under ClaN Entertainment, which is backed by Nippon TV, have official ties with Sanrio, and work with Cover. I don't know how they'll be like operating an EN group, but it doesn't seem like a rug pull with those types of business relationships in mind. Looked into one of their JP groups, Nyantasia, and their 3D capabilities look good too. I can see why people have been apprehensive though, they were pretty bad at generating hype for the EN sphere prior to auditions. It looks like they're making up for that now with how active they are on social media. They seem to be one of the best legitimate corpo options at the moment, so I hope they received good auditions.

If you are boring you can develop hobbies and skills to share with viewers. If you are depressed you should seek therapy or build that into your persona in an interesting way. This WAS true, but since march 2025 they started to push ads on everyone, regardless of the affiliate status (the deeper story is that some big streamers didn't use the ads function, so Amazon stepped up to monetize them, and because directly targeting one or two of these would have been a statement that they weren't willing to make, they enforced ads all around twitch).
So now it doesn't matter if you are affiliate or not, people still get ads! You can hold back from directly becoming affiliate in order to gain momentum later on, but that is ultimately a decision that you can take if you have any good idea (aka, you do a debut or special stream streak to celebrate affiliate, you gather people and organize something...) so, the question itself is now not valid anymore, if you decide to hold back on affiliate you might even hurt your growth, but the ad stuff is not true anymore.

The real issue is that /asp/ has, as was foretold, become /wvt/. There are no vtubers left. The few that stick around do so out of stubbornness or just not knowing where else to go. The point is that regulars in the thread will see you as a new tuber and check you out as opposed to going into some random discord and sending a self promo link the second you are about to go live since you can't discuss yourself

However once you are established this thread will be useless for getting new viewers and since the schizos here will burn through threads so fast anyone who is an actual streamer isn't going to be checking for organizing posts here unless you do it every thread with follow ups

How much have you been going live in terms of hours, days per week, and consecutively? Any collabs? Biggest raid? Numbers before these 3 months? What is your CCV?
Just to give an example: if you gained all those followers from zero that can be moderately good, but if you had 1200 followers beforehand and in three months you only managed to get these 90 extra ones that might be a not so productive quarter.
