unlike miko and pekora who hang onto whatever’s trendy and popular korone has always done her own thing, very rarely plays fotm and even when she does it’s at most like 2-3 streams
yet she is still one of the most popular vtubers in the world
if she did what the others do she would be in the top 5 most popular streamers (not vtubers) in the world but would she really enjoy it? no of course not
korone would stream games even if she didn’t earn anything from it that’s how much she loves doing it
she is simply leagues above rest and irreplaceable, korone represents vtubing in its purest form, the way it was always meant to be done
and i really do think that when the time comes for her to say goodbye it will mark the beginning of the end for hololive and vtubing as we know it and the final step for total normificarion and enshittification of this hobby
some people don’t yet understand what she means for hololive and when they will it might just happen to be too late
