I would say that's even a good lesson on how to start tempering yourself to being an online figure, since a lot of people focus on the negative comments later on in their career and start developing impostor syndrome if they don't learn to deal with trolls and bad faith comments from the beginning.

This is the first time I'm watching anything you've made. I'll be honest and say I do not care for how your model looks, so I never checked out your stuff, but I was intrigued since this is a video upload instead of a stream link.

First off, and this is unrelated to the video, searching for your channel on YouTube is impossible. The link opened on my phone'e browser instead of in my YT app, so I tried searching for your channel, only to realize I can't find you at all--the only way to do so was by searching specifically for your video's title. The single word "beloved" is really bad for SEO, so I suggest a name change. Add something to it, at least.
Secondly, your voice over reading just isn't good. I checked out your shorts, and got to the bit in the video where you show a part of your stream as an example for the game's terror, and I noticed that when you talk live it's a lot better, even if the accent is still quite heavy. You either need to practice your script a LOT more before you start recording it, or you have to work on your enunciation AND pronunciation (preferably do both, because there are quite a few mispronounced words). Make googling "[word] pronunciation" your friend, if it wasn't already.
In general, you should read stuff "slower than you think you should" because we as people tend to read faster off of something written, but this was both slow and not well voiced.
Lastly, the video isn't doing anything new as far as game reviewing goes, but it's also not fitting for the era. There's no hook, there's no reason for me to know this information even though I crave new info about things I wouldn't otherwise know about--and you're not giving me the reason to want it, as the video's maker.

As a general remark, I found it amusing that I could hear you smiling through the read, but then you made a comment that the game legit sucks and is boring. It gave me a bit of a whiplash.

One more piece of advice: Use your editing software to generate subtitles, then give them a once-over to fix the wrong stuff, then save the .SRT and upload it with the video onto YT. CapCut does it for free, man (unless you're trying to do more than 1 language at a time).

BTW, about your shorts. Are you uploading them to YT straight from the Twitch interface? If you are, don't. Download them, then upload them to YT manually, since YT suppresses the visibility of Twitch content when it's uploaded straight from there.
I would also suggest cutting them better and adding actual subtitles (again, stuff like CapCut makes it super easy) because there's barely a reason for anyone to watch them as they are.

Remember: Your speech is a set of behaviors, and behaviors can be changed. It'll be weird at first, but you'll sound better after practice, even if the accent stays.

Shorts algo is more generous probably inherently. Shorts are at most a few minutes. They can be consumed rapidly during endless doomscrolling by a generation of people with short attention spans. There seems to be a higher demand for Shorts and short content than longform content like streams or videos. Even less polished Shorts will be fed into the feed because there is a higher demand for more Shorts.

No? These are two different types of content. You can get thousands of views on a single short and remain low‐mid 2view, but they're still good to have. It helps people discover you so that's already good. Maybe your shorts and clips are actually good so that's also helpful--some people are really bad at clipping and it shows in their shorts' viewership.

I can't tell you that, but designs CAN be ugly enough to make people not click on you in the first place, and they can also be ugly enough to make people scroll away from your shorts.

Re: PNG I’ve been using something like a mascot character from an anime or kids show. Very simple and focused on being expressive. Seems to help with the YT shorts a bit since it’s easy to add reactions. I’ll probably stick with it till I have a better idea.

Unfortunately on Twitch I’m still stuck on the low 1view stage but I guess that’s par for the course a few weeks in. Doesn’t help I couldn’t lock down a consistent schedule yet.

I didn’t really do any planning. I’ll just post a short if I have something I think is funny enough. So no schedule or anything. I just thought getting a few hundred views was normal for a short. Until suddenly I can’t get above single digit view counts anymore. Two things I can think of that might have affected me is that I tried to use copyrighted music on one short, the other was posting non-short regular length videos that got shit engagement possibly affecting how my shorts were pushed by the algorithms.

You didn’t mention your engagement metrics for the new Shorts or if they differed from the ones that got more views. Were the new Shorts longer than the old ones? Sometimes changing the time you upload will affect whether or not a video gets pushed into the feed. Scheduling them seems to be bad too, especially if you spam Shorts frequently. That only works if you have subscribers who will always click your content when it is posted. Copyrighted material can hurt your content though, yes. Sometimes it’s none of these things. Depending on the tags or themes the Shorts feed might be oversaturated in a specific type of content so your similar content won’t get pushed if other content is doing well, especially if your engagement is low. But I don’t think your Shorts engagement and your longform engagement are too closely tied. They’ve never been in my experience.

I feel the same about streaming, I like it a lot but I'm mostly talking to myself while making a video with a script really lets you curate the content.
In the end, being able to do both things is what you should strive for, maybe sacrificing some time to do the other thing if you're short on how much of it you can allocate to them, but never completely abandoning any.

Also, if you can multistreaming to both Twitch and YouTube, you don't really have to worry about that. But if you can't, keep on doing Twitch for now.
