Gender dysphoria has strong comorbidity with mental disorders such as autism spectrum disorder, depression and suicidality, manic disorders, and so on, so while it is not currently classified as an official mental disorder in of itself, there is a strong likelihood that if someone has gender dysphoria they have some sort of mental disorder.
In my personal opinion, due to the fact that it was previously classified as a disorder up until as recently as 2018, and clearly is a "clinically significant disturbance in an individual’s cognition, emotional regulation, or behaviour" which is "usually associated with distress or impairment in important areas of functioning" (Source: WHO) of which the only stated reason for its removal from being classified as a disorder is to avoid mockery, which is an offensive thing to say in regards to current classified mental disorders in my opinion, I believe that it should be reinstated as an official disorder so people suffering from the distress from their disturbance to their cognition can get the help they definitely deserve.
