I'm surprised anyone could stay or join after that besides the 3 idiots

4 guys, Denauth was already signed on for months before the Selen fiasco.

genuinely so funny how their downfall was entirely self-inflicted
The "boycott" really didn't start until this happened, everyone was still coping with "le management bad but the talents dindunuffin wrong", their collective CCV didn't take much of a hit even after Selen's termination, right until this happened

Yes, the board is still fucking unusable for days each time something happens in nijien. Who knows when it's going to stop, if ever.

>why is board talking about a burning trashcan, this never happens on Four Channel Dot Org!

The best move for them after the termination notice was to shut the fuck up and let the drama die down. After over a full year, the talents are still hurting from the aftermath. Even Rosemi, who is now graduating, never got back to 500k subscribers.

I seriously can't think of anything that could top that, in terms of PR disaster.

They haven't gone full Wactor yet, so it could always be worse.

Holy shit. I watched legal mindset dissect and react to this. That’s how much of a shitshow this was. Calling it a shitshow is generous to be honest. But yeah. It was bad

I loved watching the chat turn from supportive to angry as the stream went on.

legalmindset is a retard grifter that will say whatever he thinks his audience wants to hear
I remember his analysis of the selen situation was essentially "she totally can and should sue nijii for the slander they did against her"
blatantly retarded take, and was clearly just him realizing which side public opinion was mostly on, and then just saying "you guys are SO right, actually even more right than you think"

I remember there was some 2view lawyer who was also Canadian that reviewed the Selen Fiasco (everyone called him Canadian Lucius Malfoy kek) but since he wasn't a grifting memelord nobody remembers him

Wactor did objectively worse things but they are still better than nijisanji in the PR department

Didn't people find out he doesn't have a law degree and fled to some SEA country to facilitate underage sex tourism?

No. This is when the board is at its most fun. I only got into vtubing because of the drama high.

AFAIK, he is an actual lawyer. There are allegations that he has tens of thousands in unpaid debt, and that he tried to groom a teenager in Florida.

JP branch is too big and established to fail but EN has been a non entity since the black stream
Anonymous No.103452757 >>103453011 >>103453184 >>103455873
Notice how you can't even see the blackstream on this graph?
Because the truth is, the blackstream only exacerbated problems that were already there. The branch was already in a freefall decline even before that
Anonymous No.103453011
>>103452757
Let's be real, losing your two top female talents weeks apart was always going to be a major blow but there was always the chance for at least a partial comeback. Black stream pretty much made the entire branch radioactive for life
Anonymous No.103453065
Did Nijisanji have any presence at AX this year? I know last year they had the canceled concert and a booth nobody visited
Anonymous No.103453150 >>103462014
In a way, I'm grateful for Elira and Riku to have done it. This stream set in motion a chain of events that led the Western Vtubing world onto a path away from the Japanese idol crap and made it reexamine core tenants like PL/relationship status taboos and overthrow them if they were shown to be retarded.
Had the let Selen graduate under amicable terms you would still get banned on /vt/ for mentioning a vtuber's alts/PL.
So thank you Elira. You might be a huge(in every sense of the word) backstabbing bitch, but your greed and hatred have made the entire industry a better place in the end.

If this is your graph, could you make a version without linear interpolation between debut/graduation points? It's kind of difficult to parse with all these slopes when it could just be horizontal and vertical lines

Anon the graph is only of total people in the branch. Why would it have the black stream in it? Nobody left that day.
