Cover is behind this huge push for more sponsorship streams which is affecting most of the EN branch. The constant shilling does seem to be more noticeable with Ina which is curious but Ina wants to stay on the good side of management. There is something going on behind the scenes and it's similar to when Kronii went all out to help management hype up Holostars. When a talent is going this far to help Cover it usually means they want something from Cover. Considering that Ina has the skimpiest outfit in Hololive it doesn't take a detective to figure out why she agreed to all these sponsorships. Ina was the first talent in Myth to consider graduation but in her last membership stream it did sound like things are slowly changing. After the recent graduation wave I am skeptical of Cover but they do occasionally compromise with talents.

Every vtuber who joins Hololive does it for money considering the negatives of working for an extremely strict company. The majority of the creative decisions are made by Cover and the company owns all of the copyrights and trademarks. Hololive is a lot better than Nijisanji but they didn't have 7 graduations in less than a year because everyone got along with management.

Real talk I think some or many of the girls haven't been getting paid be from merch or something else. Aside from merch, sponsor streams are the other way a vtuber makes a lot of money. If the EN girls are leaning on those more then they are losing money somewhere else. Also the whole Tea Time sounds a lot like what Kuro said about having meetings about issues but nothing getting done. That A-chan with all her skills didn't come back to Hololive with Sora still there is a big red flag to me.

There isn't anything bad about sponsorships for anime figures, video games, and food though it does feel more questionable when Hololive is shilling alcohol and gambling. When so many of their viewers are children it does feel immoral to sell them addictions and it's only a few steps away from shilling cigarettes.

After the recent graduation wave I am extremely cynical towards Cover but there would be even more graduations if things were that bad. If the Hololive contracts were steadily getting worse at least half the EN branch would have quit. The constant shilling is the new direction of Hololive and to be fair the JP branch has been like that for a while.
