If you've tried to watch zeph you'll notice his issue is not with his design. He'd have the same problem even with a complete fujo bait ikemen model. His problems are that that first, he has audio issues most of the time, the game drowns out his voice, or his voice zooms in and out, something or other that makes it hard to actually listen to him.
His second problem is more deep rooted and harder to fix, he's boring. His specific brand of old coot playing videogames has a chance to attract people to him but only if he truly had the charisma for it. I think zeph has only truly gotten a snort out of me, he lacks the kinds of bits that could pull people to his brand.
I respect him a lot for not giving up and having the sheer tenacity to continue, I hope he can grow his ability to stream and entertain. I wish I had some kind of advice for him aside from just "fix your audio."

Always check out your audio output first. Record a couple of videos of you saying random shit with your current setup, listen to them and see if your mic don't capture pops and hisses often, background sounds like the AC or your PCs fans, etc., and adjust accordingly. You can set up filters in OBS to better clear the audio, but it's better to not go overboard with them either or you might end up sounding too unnatural.

Check out your model, the game you're gonna play beforehand to see if it doesn't have something that can dox you (like a login screen with your email or a nickname you don't use in your vtuber account and could be linked to you), check the volume of absolutely everything, check if everything shows up properly because some games can be a nightmare to display, etc, etc, etc.
