It's a pretty versatile gimmick. If you have your own AI Vtuber "daughter" you can collab with them, have them solo stream, have them collab with other vtubers, do more fun shit like music videos etc etc. You basically get to do all the fun parts of having a 2nd Vtuber character in your pocket except you don't even have to worry about playing the role because the AI does it for you.

Can be a potential money/time-sink though, but still fun is fun.

I doubt that's going to happen. You need to know at least a little bit of coding to get into chat bots, and I get the feeling vibe coding isn't exactly gonna cut it in this case.
Even if she tried commissioning someone to code her, it'd turn into slop really quick because then she'd need to pay the same person again to update or maintain the code, so it'd potentially end up just being a very expensive one-time thing.

When Ame returns to Hololive she will have to stop using the Dooby model. Cover doesn't allow Hololive talents to be an indie vtuber with a Live2D model. The "simulation 1 running" is a curious statement but instead of AI vtubers she is likely hyping up a flesh streamer channel so that even after returning to Hololive she can still collab with Saba. While there are only a few EN talents who flesh stream it's fairly common in the JP branch. Sachi doesn't want to abandon Saba even after Ame returns to Hololive.
