This is wrong thinking. Most people in their 40s were only in their 20s when streaming started taking off. Even including video content, Youtube started in February of 2005 which means there are people who are 40 today that were uploading and making video content on modern platforms when they were teenagers. And it's only going to get more like this with every passing year. It won't be long before all TikTok teens are in their 30s either.
Nobody is getting any younger, and the reason older generations weren't big online before is not because they grew out of it, but because they never used the internet in the first place. All you're going to see is the demographics getting older and older until all of society will be internet users and creators from birth to death.
You won't even have to wait too long until people seriously start talking about the 50 year old vtuber trend. It will happen before you realize it.
