It'd be a temporary fix at best. They'd need to expand to accommodate the influx of new viewers, which would mean that they'd need advertiser money, which would mean doing a lot of the same stupid shit that Youtube does to keep advertisers happy.

Right now youtube has implimented an AI that pretty much guesses your age. If it thinks you're under 18, they will force you to upload your government ID before you can keep watching youtube. This includes all of US, Australia, Indonesia and all of the USA.

Lots of people would rather not watch youtube than have to upload their government ID. So every streamer in the world has been taking a viewer count hit.

Also, change your profile pic to clippy if you want to protest all this crap.

Kick was created by online gambling scams for the purpose of having a streaming service that didn't ban those sponsored by gambling scams. That's the only reason it exists. Streaming there might mean that a lot "clean money" sponsors wouldn't even want to consider sponsoring a streamer on it because of "the association". Early days though. Twitch apparently isn't profitable for sponsors so they've pulling out and that's besides the hasan/jew butthurt adpocalypse issue.
