That being said, I don't think the person you're replying to is correct. I think plenty of people would have looked at what was happening at the time and thought, hey, maybe I should document some of this shit. What doesn't make sense is the piecemeal way these are being delivered, where you'd expect someone documenting things to have a more comprehensive record of things, but there's possible explanations for that- maybe they just did take a few random screenshots at the time because they weren't sure what to get. Or maybe they're testing the waters with some precision drops.

Damn maybe it's calculated. If it drops all at once, people get mad, forget about it and Niji recovers. If it drops slowly over the course of years, Niji doesn't get a chance to recover. Yeah, like that... those ideas would pretty much fall under "testing the waters", seeing how much they could get away with. I doubt it's a slow sabotage attempt at the moment anyway, as it's way too slow for anyone to care and is easy enough to dismiss as fake... if a bunch was dumped at once it would have the sheer volume itself as an indication of its veracity. But for example we might see them ramp up until they start getting the desired effect. Or, they might observe the results of their little drops for a while then use that to inform the methods and designs of future larger leaks.

I also wonder if some of the oddities aren't part of an attempt to anonymize the screenshots.
I know off the top of my head that timestamps can be used to pinpoint a leaker- if the actual time of posting is known you can determine the timezone of the one taking the screenshot, and in a small enough server, say 30-40 people, that can narrow it down immensely if not outright finger someone. Hence possibly the Scarle screenshot having its timestamps edited to a random time (413 is also a meme number isn't it? From Homestuck or something)
I don't know how this would explain things like the name colors and missing decorations, but it's possible they used some premade utility and just didn't bother to turn off some options that were on by default.

Another thought- assuming the two Aster leaks were from the same source, it would have to be someone who was in contact with him while he was in gay baby jail. The one of him flirting with Twisty where she said she wanted to cosplay could have been sent by him to someone else who subsequently leaked it. Meanwhile the one of him shitting on Twisty's apology would have to have been someone he was in contact with that far out... it's possible he was still in the main Niji discord at that time, but that seems a bit unlikely.
It's of course also possible the leaks are from Aster himself but I doubt that, the guy seems content to chill with his fleshtuber streams for six fucking hours a day, I doubt he'd be spending any time on shit like this.

The rough part is I can sort of understand their side from these words alone, but the issue seems to mostly stem from the toxic work environment causing both people to spiral and for everyone to also get so jaded that they forgot the concept of appropriate punishment, or even what a functioning group should even look like.

Seriously, if the issue was permission for the video, the actual question they need to be asking was "why weren't we notified earlier?" not "why did she upload it so quickly on the predetermined date she advertised and teased for over a year before management had a chance to ask us?" along with the idea of being so incredibly strict on the subject of "the rules" that they ignore the fact that it was a positive advertisement and meant to show love for the company and her coworkers just because it made management look bad for not working with her earlier.

From memory, Axel was the only Cover talent who said anything in support of her. He also pretty much stopped all interaction with NijiEN after that, barring any times where he was kind of stuck: when Shu and Melocco stopped by the VCR Minecraft guild he was part of to say hello to other people and was in 2 FSP organized collabs where Uki was also invited, but he straight up never talked to the faggot. Only one I know Axel talks to is Ren (he replies to him on Twitter and sent his chat to the ILUNA 3rd Anniversary stream since he understood losing two members is rough, even if those members were dogshit).

Altare has done some NijiEN collabs, but he's definitely not all that close to anyone. And I think the last time he was in a collab with Alban was like 2023 or something.
