Suisei is my oshi but I can see how people grow to hate her because she's a cutthroat business woman who is willing to do whatever benefits her brand over whatever benefits her fans.
She was at the forefront of defending Hololive during the graduation wave and cemented herself as "Company over colleagues". I don't think she's evil or worth hating on because she's built different from the other talents, but I will say I miss the old Suisei streams that were more about games like Tetris. Suisei doesn't have the talent to back up her clout: yes, she has the mechanics of singing down, but she doesn't have her own style, and that makes her songs so cookie-cutter that her originals end up even worse than other Holo's karaoke.

Of course, that didn't really matter when the idol stuff was balanced with the streaming, since it was just cute girls doing cute things at the end of the day...but that scale has been tipped more and more towards the "idol" end over the years, and Cover can't back that up with good music.

So, Suisei gets more and more important since Cover keeps pushing her as their prime idol, but that's a dead-end if Hololive can't get breakout hits on an international level, because Cover's use of the Unreal Engine for its stuff means it will inevitably lose whatever technological edge it has. That's also basically its only plan to actually stand out right now though, as the video games are struggling to justify their cost, so Suisei is basically becoming the mascot's for Hololive's inevitable decline.
