Why would it be fixed? YouTube never set out to fix the rampant botting. They just hurt legitimate streamers.

YT doesn't care about bots because they already filter the bots out (as much as they can) in the processing stage after the stream is over (takes around a day or two). That's why streamers (VTubers and non-VTubers) have mentioned that they saw different CCVs in their analytic pages after their streams compared to during the streams

That is still a ton of viewers. People on /vt/ got mindbroken by the JP scene which has way more real vtuber fans than western FOTM trannies that stick around for a few months and then bail.
And also the early days of myth painted a very unrealistic picture when it comes to CCV, but # monkeys are still sticking to that as a gold standard of vtubing CCV's.
