This but unironically. I want them to experience the mutation and decay of their community firsthand.
The casualification and fair-weather attachment. No more obsessed compsci majors with no job making entire games for free. No more fan created projects to celebrate their birthday. Fanart drying up. Views going down, memberships going down, impressions going down, merch barely breaking even.
I want them to have that moment of clarity when they try to run a contest, submission request, or other form of direct engagement and they have to cancel it in embarrassment, because no one cares enough to participate.
I want them to get jealous of their spouse because the streams that perform the best are ones where they bring him on. Having to deal with the constant, unfunny reddit-tier comments like "OUR husband" or "is he single?".
Why I want this to happen isn't because I'm angry or jaded. It's so that she becomes so disgusted with streaming that she focuses all her time and energy on having and raising kids.
