It's been getting really had to watch people stream games lately. Between being unable to read, outright refusing to use mechanics, and skipping tutorials. It hurts and is no longer entertaining.

The worst is collabs. Friendslop collabs. Fuck them. No one has played the game before and it's mostly people walking in circles giggling going "I don't know how to play this do you?"
Just fucking have a chatting stream at that point if you're going to put no effort into the content.

Left-right confusion is something I'm surprised I don't see more often, actually. There's been studies that put it at around 10-15% of people, more common in women, and yet I feel like I almost never see vtubers mixing it up.

>It's been getting really had to watch people stream games lately.
This I think is something different entirely, it's a question of divided attention and I don't really blame them since there's a ton of things to watch while streaming. The thing that really gets me is more like OP said where there's just text on the screen in a non-rushed area and they are intentionally focusing on it and trying to read it for their audience and they struggle. Makes me realize the general literacy rate is not as high as I thought

And it's not just vtubing, but streaming games as well, the main point is being entertaining and, as much as it's possible, interact with chat/tts.

You can't concentrate on the game and talk constantly at the same time. I tried to do it as an experiment several years ago, and 90% of time I was just silent. If chuuba did something like that, people would be bitching endlessly about how she ignores chat/tts and doesn't talk/isn't funny.

People go "media literacy this, media literacy that", but people unironically lack basic literacy and have reading comprehension level of a brick.
And don't get me started on the whole "don't understand idioms, metaphors, allegories", I don't know, whether it's rampant autism, prevalence of SEAs or just general retardation, but people really can't use and notice any figure of speech.

PS: Imagine arguing/debating with such people. It's like explaining calculus to a downie.

It's not a "take" on the word at all, it's the definition. Why do you think it's called a "plant"?
That one was the cambridge dictionary definition, here's the oxford dictionary. Note how it even says "a tomato/potato plant" as opposed to simply "a tomato/potato".

Which kg, weight or mass? The question says "which WEIGHS more", not which has more mass.
A kg of feathers actually does have more mass than 1kg because of the air as well, unless measured in a vacuum. Just like a balloon has more mass when filled even though it has the same weight.

Face it, it's a trick question in disguise designed to make the asker seem smart because of an ambiguity of language, much like all those math memes which are entirely about there being two possible interpretations of the question which makes people endlessly argue about the answer not understanding it's entire semantic in nature.

Noone is expecting them to be pros at the game, especially if it's their first time playing it, if we wanted competent players we'd watch male streamers. However, they should make the minimal effort to learn the basic controls through the tutorial when it pops up. Concentrating for like 20mins to learn the basics allows you to then use said basics to actually perform funny stuff in the game, instead of getting stonewalled for 10mins every second obstacle.

Also her forgetting words or not quite getting the meaning right is a scientifically proven effect of being bilingual right from the start
When you learn two languages as a child they are BOTH your first language, which unfortunately means the wires often get crossed, you forget words, and have that on the tip of your tongue feeling more often than people who learn a second language later on
If you have two first languages your brain is running them both at the same time constantly

But mass is irrelevant. Heaviness refers to weight, not mass. It's not a trick question at all. The language is clear.

>depending on how you measure the feathers(compact, loose, in air, in vacuum)
Nope, you're retarded, in each case there would be a volume/mass/density of feathers such as that they would weigh 1 kg. The only trick is you overcomplicating it. We could also have 1 kg of atom-thin steel that acts like feathers and also traps air; we could add hypotheticals all day but that is beyond the scope of the question.
Anonymous No.103687375

No one is asking how much the fucking air between the feathers weighs. The whole point is that if you have a kilogram of literally any two materials in the same general vicinity here on planet earth they will weigh the same. Retards cannot comprehend this idea. That's the joke.
There is no le reddit ackshually trick question to this.

If you're using it as a unit of weight, like a layman, a kilogram of anything weighs the same as a kilogram of anything else. If you're using it as a unit of mass, as it's intended to be used, you have to multiply it by gravitational force. This seemingly also always gives the same result of 9.8N, and in a complete vacuum, yes, a kilogram of anything will weigh 9.8N. However, you need to remember that air is a fluid, and as such has buoyancy. This is normally negligible, but a kilogram of feathers has such a low density that you could measure a noticeable weight difference compared to a kilogram of steel

>>103688644
Right but the weight difference is accounted for, i.e if there is a weight difference, then it's no longer a kilogram of feathers, therefore it falls outside of the scope of the question. The question involves a kilogram of feathers -- even if that kilogram of feathers is a temporary configuration, it is still a kilogram of feathers, for if it isn't, it would be something other than a kilogram of feathers. What the kilogram of feathers goes on to be is frankly not my business.

What do you mean which kg? Are there separate grams that measure mass instead of weight?

Otherwise you are correct, mass and weight are related but different measurements altogether. But the question is specifically about the weight.

Now, how I often hear the question asked is which is heavier 12kg of X or 12kg of Y. There actually multiple factors at play when determining how heavy something is, and both weight and mass are two different measurements of an objects heaviness.

It is a trick question in this sense because two different objects can measure the same weight but differ in how heavy they are.

I mean you’re playing at semantics now. Feathers are a real physical thing that is subject to physical laws, and a kilogram of feathers is a real physical thing that is subject to physical laws. To argue that those physical laws shouldn’t come into play when trying to solve the problem is almost a tacit confession that it’s a type of word game and nothing more.

It is a trick question in that case too.
Anonymous No.103689531
>>103689036
The thing is there's a significant difference between mass and weight, but most people use them interchangeably since for common objects they're roughly equivalent.
1kg of feathers(mass) weighs significantly less than 1kg(weight/force) if you measure the mass in air since the mass of the air adds to the mass of the feathers.
For another clearer example, a filled balloon has the same weight as an empty balloon when measured in atmosphere, but even without air resistance it has significantly more inertia because of the mass of the air.
