here's the real issue: they're treating this like it's a job before it is a job. it's supposed to be enjoyable. the truly successful streamers, vtuber or not, truly *enjoy* what they do. that's why they're successful - the long hours are worth it because it's something they love doing. the money came later.
by having this mindset/attitude, they're showing that they don't actually enjoy streaming and are in it just for the money, or at least making that a part of their public image. if someone doesn't enjoy streaming, why would i watch them? by increasing their viewer count i'm doing them a disservice. better to let them go find something else to do. i'll watch a streamer who at the very least has an appearance of enjoying what they do.
hopefully, they either figure out how to enjoy the thing they're trying so hard to turn into a career or at least side gig, or get into a different field.
