Medical professional here who works in a hospital.
There's varying skill levels of a MD.
Fresh new doctors like this guy are called a general practitioner at least in the US.
Which means that he can technically has the skills to diagnose, treat most common diseases. But they generally doesnt have the skills to treat life threatening, complex diseases. This guy probably doesnt know what to do when theres a patient about to die right in front of him.

I can tell if a singer is a singer pretty easily. How am I supposed to know if this guy is actually a doctor? Also what he's doing is borderline unethical, using your position and prestige as a doctor as marketing for something completely unrelated wouldn't sit very well with a lot of hospitals or whatever medical practice association he is part of.
