The engine doesn't need to leak anywhere since the bot clients / instances can just stop watching streams altogether or move to another intended botted streams if they wanted to keep certain streams' peaks low. The "leak" idea doesn't make much sense since it'd mean that the bot providers were giving random innocent streams (i.e: Holo's) even more bots than their intended targets - and since those bots bring money, it'd be no different from throwing away potential money for nothing. Why would they leak to HoloEN? There are countless streams overlapping NijiEN and surely Niji isn't the only customer of this service - why not just move to other customers?
Moreover, usually, those botting services don't actually provide infinite growth over certain amount of time since the botting services themselves don't have infinite amount of bots. They provide a fixed amount of CCV / views with various injection rates and injection algorithms. They should've full control of what the peak of the botted stream should be and how the graph should look - and provide just enough bots for that.
All in all, I don't know why the botting has been spread that far and wide, but I doubt it's some innocuous "leaks". Those who got the bots, got them because someone wanted that to happen.
