Hey guys, haven't been here for a while. A few months ago I made a video on philosophical theories related to VTubers, and the next part's script has finally been finished. Alpin is briefly mentioned at some point. Making another video will take a long ass time, so I decided to publish the script separately as an article. If someone's interested in reading it, feel free to share your opinion with me, I'm open to discussing anything and I want to develop these ideas further. You seek the answer without any intellectual curiosity to even describe the problem beyond "the hurdle" or "the hump". What are your goals in vtubing? If pure popularity is your goal, you're going to need to do a lot more market research to identify
1. which market segments you'd be able to appeal to
2. which market segments are up for grabs because they are under-served by other chuubas
3. which market segments will provide you sustenance (via oilers and consistent subscribers)
You can do all this Machiavellian key-hoarding and spiral out of control a la Sinder OR have another goal in mind. When a snake sheds its skin, it already has another skin prepared. When you strip away your desire for popularity and attention in the vtubing space, what do you want? What provides meaning to you and your community? Does your ethnicity even have to play a role?

I'm worried about the problems of being hispanic in the vtubing space. Of being an alien ambassador or of standing statues for an entire race or of misrepresenting myself and culture of putting myself off of myself and not being comfortable not only with who I am but who I could become. Truth and honesty and family are important to me and id like to make that part of my stream from the beginning. I want my viewers to feel part of a real family. But I struggle with how to partake in of myself and how involved I should be as a Hispanic. I feel forced to pick sides and find myself straddling a line in the sand in the modern vtubing space. If anything becomes misrepresented is a misrepresentation of a further gestalt I feel wholly unequipped for. I cannot furthermore imbibe in myself or in a falsehood that not only I in and of myself consume but that I am then serving to my viewers for their own misconsumption. A death by consumption is a lovers cross to bear and I cannot struggle no more under its weight than a ragged barnfly under a farmers boot.

There are some latino/a vtubers that incorporate hispanic influences in their design. I'm coming from a neutral perspective on that, in case it wasn't clear.
My suggestion would be to go on ttv, check streams that are tagged with tags like "hispanic", "latino", "latina", and "esvtuber" and see what is popular, see what you like, see what you don't like, and see what you think you can emulate. Analysis paralysis can be treated with more information, and this might be what you need to gain perspective.

Actually, the most famous indies are not that popular for their gaming skills.
