Lawyer mandated break, cause while she ain't evil woman (I'll explain below), her name is all over the place, from being Apek's wife still, to living in his apartment until she left for Japan, to being on the papers as one of Vshojo co-founders, and also figuring out her visa situation since she was working for Vshojo Japan for her work visa. We'll probably only hear from it a year or two from now, when discovery for the various lawsuits starts and the mountain of documents and emails are made semi-public (aka anyone with a lawyer connection can access them).

Mel's broke. Apek was running her finances directly (even though they broke up in 2021, because she was just getting started being able to manager herself, let alone her life) and when she wanted to leave for Japan, he told her she'd be left with almost nothing because she wasn't earning much and the cost of her equipment + tech support + japan visa was eating almost all of her current revenue at the time. The truth is that Apek was funneling most of her earning to try to fix Vshojo, like he did for everyone, but he also took a portion for himself. He always hated that she started fixing herself up and being on anti-horny meds, instead of being the 2020 version that could only stream at max horniness levels and barely function outside of that, because 2020 Mel was far more profitable. A group on Melcord was tallying her estimated revenue all throughout 2020 to 2022, and in 2020 the split was 70% CB, 20% Patreon, 5% Twitch. Fast forward to today, CB is a fraction of a fraction of 2020 Mel, Patreon is seeing dwindlings numbers, and Twitch has shrunk to the core audience, with a worse revenue split than before. Mel also has almost 0 sponsors and all of her sponsors pay like shit since they are porn sponsors 90% of the time. Vshojo was right about one thing, if you want big money sponsors you need to stop being lewd on main.

Mel had to couch surf around Tokyo when she landed in Japan because she couldn't find an apartment cheap enough that also fitted her streaming schedules. That should've been a nothingburger if not for her pretty dire financial situation. Apek has tried for a long time to get Mel out of her medication, and when she decided to move to Japan and seal that she would never go back to 2020 Mel, he just took one last bag from her. Not that it was a massive bag, Mel numbers are good enough to live from comfortably, but nowhere near the 7 figures a year she made in 2020. It's more around 100-150K gross revenue nowadays. The good news is that because of her leaving for Japan, Apek was kind of forced to give back the financial control to her, so at least she'llbe able to access all the money she makes now.

The worrying thing is that she's refusing to break Keyfabe and admit she's still married to Apek, in a divorce proceeding, and fully explain her connection to him and Vshojo etc. From all I have access to, she's a victim like the others, but she's so stuck in her head that people still see her only as a lewdtuber and that all of her fans are only there for that side of her, even though in reality 90% of her audience couldn't care less if she stopped doing lewd content, because she already shrunk to her core audience that'd follow her no matter what, since most of the extra audience wanted 2020 Mel, not current Mel. But instead, we'll get a Mel that buries her head in the sand until everything goes inevitably public in a year or two.
