Everything they do is run by the company. Do you think they ultimately have a say in how the company sets up its concerts? Especially now that it's been public for however many years.
You should never blindly trust a vtuber and you should never forget that corporate vtubers are just puppets with their strings being pulled by their company. It was really nice in the beginning when cover was a small indie company, because its "no politics" and etc rules were a breath of fresh air. This is still the case, but now everything's mega corporate.
