It's not clear how much this has to do with Youtube's ID shit but they definitely fucked with something in the back that determines viewership. Viewer counts are jumping up and down throughout streams.

They fucked how viewership is counted, so if you're not watching the stream live, as in you are a minute behind in the livestream, you are not counted as a viewer, hence the jumping up and down of the viewer because of buffering.
Add to this that youtube sucks for streaming, lots of viewers are constantly buffering and falling behind, thus are not being counted as views.
