You can't help but compare yourself against the old timers. Couldn't help but wonder how they would've operated in these times. When a V-tuber anime woman sits on the cover of the world's most prestigious finance magazine. When you don't even need to know the behind the scenes dealings to see the corruption--when it hangs in the air, out in the open, in plain daylight. When lives are bought and sold like commodities in the open air market.
Money buys everything and good folks suffer while those with no morals reign on high. The term absurd doesn't even begin to describe this world now.
Everyone is born into a prison. The poor struggle and fail to escape it. The bourgeoise will soon join them, and the rich will soon be arbiters over the lives of every living soul. They yearn to be all powerful, to escape this prison we are all born into. But power does not set you free, it only expands the size of your prison.
