They're complete unknowns who've made no real effort to promote themselves or enter anything of note to build credibility.

As far as I know, the most they've done for outside collabs are... NijiEN. And one chick who likes Elira somehow became Dooby's friend and they do something once in a blue moon.

I've gone up on a soapbox about it before but them completely ignoring Doki's events, not to mention Doki herself, this entire time was the most tone-deaf thing they could've ever done.
She's personal friends with just about everybody in multiple esports scenes in various countries from players to team owners.
She's relatively cheap when it comes to sponsorships, and she's taken them from Brave before like her V4Mirai debut watchalong.
And she's desperate to find more vtubers to play FPS slop with who can actually keep up with her, (though I'm not even sure if the vspoen girls can, they'd at least be able to play with her smurfs since she just wants to grind the games). If you get her into a FPS collab and are okay with it, there's a 50/50 shot that she'll just randomly invite some big name into the stack and potentially bridge the two.
Even VSPOjp were okay with getting some of their girls into Doki's events, so clearly it's not to not piss off NijiJP.

It's just such a monumental fuck up and complete flaw of understanding the western esports ecosystem that I can't begin to understand what's going through VSPOjp's heads. I think one of the girls is even a Doki fan.

Vspo JP is big enough they don’t really have to care about pissing off Niji even if that was an issue. The ENs probably wouldn’t have to worry off the back of that, so not joining shit is weird especially when part of Vspo being as big as they are in JP is being so deeply connected to shit like CR. Personally don’t care for EN shit regardless, so as long as they don’t bring nothing but negative attention like NijiEN they can do whatever the fuck they want.

Then collab with men. VSPO aren't idols. JP does it all the time.
They need to unironically leech viewers from bigger FPS creators in order to get any kind of foothold in the scene. Doki's a shortcut, but the fact that they've barely even tried is testament for why they're failing.
The west does not like watching girls play FPS unless

A and C are completely out for VSPO. The girls aren't flesh, the company bans porn, and the girls themselves go completely silent during games and can't hold a conversation longer than "Go mid." Their only shot is connections at this point.

VSPO EN baffles me. It's so odd, considering how fun VSPO JP is.

As far as talent criticisms go, you made a comment I can't help but agree with: while the girls in question do possess skill in their games of choice, they also fail to be entertaining while playing. This was the sweet spot that made Selen go viral for a bit when she first debuted in Obsydia: someone who could play the game at a higher-than-average level and laugh while doing it. The VSPO EN girls tend to clam up when they focus. It's disappointing.

Something I remembered doing a while ago was checking out Remi's CS stream with Dooby and comparing it to Doki's collabs with her. Granted, a lot of this is on Dooby for being a rough collab partner herself, but the fact is that there aren't even any clips of Remia's collab with Dooby that I can find.
But with Doki, she was laughing it up, telling stories, going into bizarre tangents like the monetary value of gold, trying to grief each other, etc. and it was just a completely different vibe and much easier to watch.

Just skip around to random timestamps and it's pretty easy to see why nobody watches VSPOen. Doki was constantly lobbing conversation topics to Dooby.

Choosing Niji EN collabs over Doki collabs is wild work. And what's worse: even if you argue it was company mandated, there's no adequate explanation for why they haven't initiated shit until now. Doki does not need to go to them for collabs and now that she can easily connect with various big indies and all corpos sans Holo and Niji, she will never need to. Dooby, Nimi, Filian, Bao, Amalee - a lot of indies have more impact on the scene than VSPO EN ever has. They bring nothing to the table and they lost their opportunity to cozy up to her when she was still fresh off the press in mid 2024.

For all the shitposting Doki gets, she's good at her job. Talking and laughing sets a good mood for any collab and opens up a host of opportunities for the other person to chime in and add on to the mirth. It's unforced because she's always been that way, constantly cackling at every joke and reacting well to the shenanigans of her collab partner. Doki also genuinely likes Dooby and looks up to her a lot so there was never a need for her to force herself to talk.

On the other hand, Remia sounds more awkward and stiff. She's incapable of breaking past the necessary barriers and assume the role needed to bring out a better Dooby. I feel bad for her, almost.

Brave and Anycolor are probably close in Japan, and because Doki is a pariah in Nijsanji, Brave follows suit, ignorant or uncaring of the fact that the western vtubing world's view of her is the opposite.
This gets passed down to VSPO, then to its EN branch, so their vtubers have no choice but to pretend that Doki doesn't exist.

Why the fuck would you do that? You can actually get proper timestamps by dedicated people and Dooby is a significant enough collab to warrant those people coming out of the woodworks for both Vtubers. And any look at those timestamps would instantly invalidate that post's premise and any subsequent posts supporting that who are most likely the poster replying to themselves spreading a false narrative. Dooby was asked questions constantly by Remia. They both do collabs in their own ways and Doki's style of collabing isn't necessarily better than Remia's and vice versa.
