I think I'm gonna start to focus on card games. I was streaming whatever game I had on the backlog, but I don't think I'm at the point where people watch me for my personality, so I'm gonna try to cater to a niche audience instead.
My Yu-Gi-Oh! content seems to be the one that attracts the most views, so I'll start from there.

I would advise against corpos at this moment. The collapses of NijisanjiEN and VShojo in public sentiment and finances should show you that in a corporation:
1. as talent you will very likely be considered an independent contractor. Your payments will be sporadic and maybe even nonexistent while management will consider themselves vital to company operation. Remember kson's talk with the exec from japan's vshojo branch. He said the branch's finances were consistent despite kson not being paid. And the mouse's charity situation shows even further that these companies will make every excuse to maintain profits or at least solvency. A delayed paycheck is a loan you did not negotiate the terms for.
2. when you are being made a pariah, as might happen in these spaces, the corpo will say little to nothing to defend you.
3. when you are harassed within the company, from management or your fellow talents, your well-being and any approximation of justice will be put on the backburner to keep the machine going.
Auditions can be a great avenue to showcase your skills and talents, but you should be doing that in your content regardless. Asynchronous content like on YT can help "audition" you for potential new audience members. If formalizing this process hones your craft, then I support it. However, there's only so much goodwill left for corporations operating in this space.

I'm going to contact two artists about getting a character designed. Both have designed vtubers before, but I want more of a "main visual" instead of a vtuber model. I don't really have an interest in actual vtubing, but I might get an actual model from that design eventually. How should I describe that to the artists(both are Japanese but I have someone that will write the emails for me) when I contact them? The biggest thing I've learned as a streamer is trying to grow from streaming is the stupidest thing you can do. You have to establish yourself elsewhere and then pivot to streaming. Be it, art, ASMR, prerecorded YouTube videos, etc. are so much better for growth then steaming to void for years.
