I think I've been following VTubers for longer than that, I've been following VTubers since Kizuna Ai's heyday in 2018 if I'm not mistaken. Then the emergence of Hololive made me like polka, and in 2023 I met my one and only Kami Oshi Biboo-chan, that a long run

yeah, although admittedly I'm not as into them as I was around 2020-21 since it felt like we never had something replace that particular time and meta. I could stay up to 4am or 7am if I had to to watch JP girls fuck around in minecraft doing stupid shenanigans. not only can I not do that anymore because lockdowns ended long ago but hololive doesn't do that anymore either really.

I do like the group stuff that happens still however like the pekomarine 3d miniseries was really cute. and there are some bright lights still in Holo like Vivi and Su etc that leave me confident about its future. EN not as much since all the graduations but it has some solid girls still and some have grown on me a lot the past year.

I'm not sure when my following will finally end but it will probably coincide with dead hours in NA prime time

No those two seem alright. They haven't made any offhand insults towards otakus yet. Although, I'm always skeptical of women in a male dominant hobby as they're typically a drama magnet and often have hoards of horny fans who will cannibalize each other for them. I was more bothered by people after the EN concert who wanted to complain about male fans and shame them away.

Started in 2018 with holo, then years later diversified, nowadays I mostly watch indies. Also fell off GFE and just watch whoever I find fun or plays games I'm into. More of a lurker now too but I still support (subs, merch etc) the ones I find worth supporting.

Five years have gone, two long term gfs, no money spent on any chuubas apart from the monthly prime sub, still watching the same ones (+ a few more, and all ONLY when they play games I actually LIKE) and I'm still laughing at this board.

My curiosity in that on vtuber thread on /jp/ that I kept seeing 6 years ago is what got me into the hobby in the first place. Vtuber discussion on 4chan has gone to complete shit over the years with everyone chasing petty drama so I only occasionally lurk now.

I started around 2019-2020 on /jp/, at least before HoloEN was announced and people were joking about Coco and Haachama being an unofficial HoloEN.

I went from mainly watching Hololive and sometimes NijiJPs like Ars, to watching a mix of everything if it interested me (Hololive, Niji, small corpos and indies, both EN and JP), to mainly watching a small selection of indies; While I still occasionally watch a Korone, Hayama, Cecilia or Tenma stream, these are becoming less and less frequent. If the indies I watch graduate or quit vtubing, I'll probably just drop vtubing as a whole. It certainly doesn't help that this board has gone to complete shit compared to years ago so I don't really bother posting much these days.

2018 bro - still enjoying. I have two 'oshis', both of 5+ years and mainly watch those two nowadays. Still watch others when I have some extra time, but mainly clips. I don't use /vt/ very much anymore, lurking or engaging, it's shit. Always was, but it's more annoying now due to it largely being a userbase outside of 4chan. I will say that I think Hololive as a whole is less enjoyable now, but my oshi is just as sweet and fun.
