Aren't they essentially creating a bunch of characters just for the game and choosing the stats themselves. So in the end this is just about skins and none of these choices actually mean anything, right?

The player stats and growth are RNG. It's up to the player to train them up properly. But yeah, they edit the players to look like the holos that were drafted to them. Miko will probably make her best player into Suichan.

To be fair, this probably should happen more often (though maybe they'll just pay talents to appear in her role since they didn't predebut a replacement like they did with A-chan).
