Technically true but as far as I can remember she never played the game that much on stream. It was either fucking around on low ranks with other characters and then watching the rosebuds fight or watch parties for EVO/Combo Breaker.

For what it's worth she looked pretty competent with Lili from what I saw but there wasn't any way to know her actual skill level since she refused to play her for more than 3 matches.

Basically, a lot of newer characters (not necessarily in order of their addition to the series, just the game) have moves with extremely accurate tracking that makes sidestepping worthless.
Moreover, a lot of them have moves that reach far enough to make any backward movement pointless since they've directly nerfed that. Same moves are also pretty fast.
Everything bad about 7 got even worse in 8.

Same as other FGs like GG Strive: they get dumbed down for an audience that only plays the game for a week after a DLC character is released.
