I dont think she is trying to speedrun silksong so I think streams may be a bit more spread out, or be the weekend game.

I feel like most of that should be on the purchaser looking into if the game is worth at all, usually isnt too hard to tell. I feel pre purchasing to avoid server slams like this, and pre loading for people with not the best internet are more positive aspects.

The problem with Preorders is that they incentivize developers to churn out unfinished games. When they've got the money in hand up front, the development time from there is basically wasted. So there's an incentive to just cut development short and cut your costs.

This is probably moreso the case for AAA developers than for a passionate indie team that spends 8 years making a $20 game, so it probably wouldve been smart to let people pre-purchase and download a few days in advanced
