if you're still here. you'll need a decent gpu with around 4-6 gb of vram or more to generate ai slop. nvidia gpus are preferred since it was designed around its CUDA cores, it sucks with amd gpus. no intel hd built in stuff unless you want each image generation to take around half an hour instead of 4-6 seconds. if you don't have that, you can use civitai's generation to generate them online, but you'll be limited by tokens and censored prompts.
if you have the gpu, download stable diffusion reforge or forge classic. reforge hasn't been updated in a while, so it doesn't support newest gpus and falls back on cpu+ram generation which is incredibly slow. forge classic doesn't have some of its functions but it's active.

follow its installation procedure that's written down in there.
once you get it working and it starts up (see pic related), you'll need checkpoints and loras. get them from civitai.com. the best alanas are for illustrious, so get this checkpoint:

and put it into sd-webui-forge-classic/models/stable-diffusion.
this is needed to be able to generate anything, it's image trained data. this one's better than default illustriousXL model which generates ugly, stiff images (but is needed for training of your own lora models and get them to look good in the other checkpoints instead of like shit if it was generated in them, if you're interested in that). then get the loras:

and put it into sd-webui-forge-classic/models/lora/
then boot the program, once it's loaded up it'll open in your browser. if you get pic related, you're good.
then start writing the prompts. the loras will be in the lora tab, you select them from there to add them to the prompt, add the keywords present on their pages to get them working. you use keywords like on the boorus.

oh, forgot to add, also change the resolution. default will be 512 x 512 which was for old stable diffusion so images generated in it will be smaller, blurrier and uglier. stable diffusion xl uses 1024x1024, so you use that or similar.
