The limitation of being a JP corpotuber is the inability to do things like this on the fly, sadly. While they probably don't mind per se, it would be cool, easy to do/ask for, and it would net a good positive result. But JP suits are autistic about paperwork and red tape.

The silhouette and expression are pretty clearly Doki, but the colours and clothes are way closer to Henya. It's understandable how you'd initially think it was Henya if you just saw the model with no other context. No need to apologise.

The avatar is the least interesting part of vtubing for almost everyone. The number of vtubers that actually do anything with the avatar besides having it take up part of the screen is minuscule.

NTA and not related to the posts you linked, but "good rigging" is overrated and something somehow most indies don't get. Sure, if your rigging is horrible or your model design looks atrocious, people won't check you out. However, beyond a certain level where the model and movement look fine, it doesn't matter as much. That's why corpos (Holo, Niji, VSpo JP) still get lots of viewers even though their riggings are hardly top tier
I hear now and then about some fresh indies spending $8K-$10K on their models and riggings and I can only thought that was a waste of money - it's like thinking somehow a great cover will make a great book

It is a waste of money usually but you are not factoring in environment.
The only reason the corpos get away with it is because they are insular.
They are mostly working with other people with the same type of models and rigging.
If you are an indie you are in the environment where several of the top people have that super expensive rigging so it is the standard that everyone gets compared to.

Moments like this literally wouldn't be possible if Doki's rigging wasn't top notch. Great rigging isn't a hard requirement, but it does make the stream more fun to watch, and that's the main thing she's always gunning for is having the most entertaining stream possible
