Neuro-sama is a neural network created by Vedal in 2018 for the purpose of learning to play osu! In December 2022 Vedal revived the project with the addition of a large language model, a TTS software and a Live2D model, which allow Neuro-sama to interact with her chat as a VTuber. Since then, she has been entertaining the chat with responses and unhinged rants nearly daily, as well as learning new skills such as singing, playing other games, and collaborating with other VTubers. Ok im gonna be honest, im inspired by vedal and im studying programming in college right now, but is there really even a point to what I do? I dont even have a real hard goal, I just want to know how to use tech and have a computer based job man. I love the idea of being able to create websites, and extensions, games, software, UI, shit like that, music that sounds like wii to 3ds era nintendo when they were still trying. But I am unsure if thats concrete enough, i want peoples lives to be improved thanks to my work.

AI is already tearing through the exact fields you mentioned, and whatever isn’t automated yet is getting outsourced to cheaper markets. Websites, extensions, software, UI, all of that is being made faster and cheaper than any fresh grad can compete with. By the time you finish college, half of what you’ve learned will be irrelevant, and the rest will be done by machines.
If you’re serious about keeping tech as a job, pivot to hardware, embedded systems, robotics, you know, things that still need people tinkering with their opposable thumbs.

i've always been inspiried to uplift people if they feel like life is pointless or meaningless, video games, music, animation, sfx, cgi, movies, show, books, stories, etc are all things that I've sorta clung to as my comfort zones since i was basically (and still am) friendless no matter what I do, I find it hard to connect with people very much irl, but easier online, through those shared ideas and media, Mario Galaxy and even the EShop and a lot of nintendo stuff holds a warm place in my heart, childhood stuff, Sam Raimi spiderman, DBZ, etc. Even very simple things that could one day make a kid feel better or less lonely, and appreciate little things in life would make it all worth it.
