Personally, in term of writing so far it's 8/10 for me and well handled even without the "Re:Zero" part. Still that's because I am biased toward style that let you take time to know character personality and trait. Danganronpa way of handling the human part of character is too afterthought for me (everyone is super genius in their own category and has their own ego maxed except MC). Minus some inconsistency so far each culprit downfalls is well handled too.
