China is too self-centered and its population is free-falling. India is importing people left and right like it's marketable goods. The UK is beconing exactly what George Orwell foretold in 1984 while losing relevancy worldwide and the US will follow suit. As for the others they're too unstable (France), too idiotic to do something important (Germany, EU) or too focused on recovering past glories (Russia).
Lack of unity is what has made Spain and its child countries stand out from the rest of nations, for better or worse. No need to compete with the rest when you can just sit and watch them fall apart.
