And I’ve managed to collab with three others, but my collabs with them are rarer. Would the downsides of attracting the attention of a schizo who hates me for no reason be worth the upsides of self posting here, given that I already have a small ecosystem of vtuber friends to collab with anyway?

Hello dear aspiring vtubers. I come to state in the name of a certain minority a few things:
• We have been experiencing some intense changes in the general thread quality due to reasons lately
• We have, in multiple occasions, observed how the sanctions that end up being delivered don't go to the main low quality posters, but rather they go to anyone who tries to call said posts out
• In the last threads, the people in charge have even left up and outright ignored all posts that even contained pornographic images and similar things that often lead to a ban in other boards
For these, and some other lesser important reasons, we have been slowly transitioning onto greener grasses over somewhere where the aspiring vtubers can be and talk about their things without as many issues. And we would like to invite (You) to also join.
Remember, asp cannot function if there is no one who cleans up the mess that some bad faith posters create, and this place already showed their stance in regards to such a thing!

If you cannot learn to identify the common troubles that this platform offers and attempt to gain all the assumed benefits/desires of yours without understanding where you are going and what are you actually doing over this corner of the vtubing space, then you might not get anything out of here since the first encounter with this place is always tough and disappointing; if you can learn how to traverse this tiny platform and effectively get what you want then asp can be a good place to be in, at least for a while.

People will check you out once you post the link, they might check you out two or three more times after that, but: if (You) don't show up anywhere else (most importantly, in the big aspies chat to signal to the rest of the non-community that you are slowly trying to be part of this) nor do the same thing (click links that are posted here) then you will not have networked with here at all, and the time that you used on posting yourself once or twice will end up not having paid off; it needs to be rather a continuous action, or at least a sustained and reciprocal one.

While the thread mostly cannot help with that, as a consequence of networking you can place yourself in the sweet spot of being a known streamer for other streamers to raid into/a good choice even if the aspie themselves doesn't directly know who you are, therefore you can gain more exposure by at least "securing" raids by having done the previous point.

This place never creates and organizes collabs, so by "posting yourself here" you might not instantly get to collab with people, BUT! You can actually organize them, even more after getting to become a known figure in the space, so you could potentially get a solid place to find people to collab with if you did work in what your image is in relation to the thread, and how people are willing to jump onto any collab project of yours just because it has your name behind, but once again, if you don't do anything to let them actually happen, then you will see zero benefits on this front too.

This one part is the most important one in this whole view: You will have schizos no matter what you do, so you can actually ignore all that they say about you, learn to identify what a schizo even is, and disregard the posts that they made to outright mentally filter and discard all that bullshit; then, you have a place where you can actively work in you vtuber aspirations! ...
