I feel that. Though my current computer's actually pretty nice for most stuff, but the costs to make stuff work on this machine are better put toward budgeting. As for their monitor remark I have my 4k screens set to 1440p personally, easier on the GPU and stuff like that anon said's the reason. Don't even need to change screenres for Windows to hissy fit.

I'd love to see more anons that consistently can put out 2560x1440+ supported gens but I'm sure that'll come 2026. The tech's only getting better. I find this tricky here, how to refer to people consistently? Surely there's some that are one I think are two and some that are two+ I think are one. A lot of "anon" names apply to multiple people too.

On a sidenote, I do sleep on Pekora too much as a coom option I'll admit. NAI has released their character reference feature, it costs 5 anlas per picture generated, you can't use vibes with it, it doesn't work with their multiple character thingy and it's way less accurate than I thought it would be. It's also extremely slow (their servers could be getting hammered right now but I doubt it's making that big of a difference).
I gotta go sleep now, I'm gonna try it some more tomorrow but it doesn't look like it's even in the "C for coping" tier.

They said they are working on a "director mode" based on the director tools they had for v3 that would work like that, based on how they worded it, the trust I have in them after the v4 fiasco and the fact that the news came from one of the least trustworthy people in their team (the CEO who always overhypes stuff) I think it's probably just gonna be a straight downgrade from the alternatives.
I also think the character reference is based on that since I got an error while generating and it said something about the director mode.

Most things work the same exact way as Webui. So yes, CFG and Denoise work the same. The way weights work on ComfyUI is different from webui but you can download a node to change that. The adetailer node is https://github.com/ltdrdata/ComfyUI-Impact-Pack and https://github.com/ltdrdata/ComfyUI-Impact-Subpack
When you get into installing nodes you'll want to install https://github.com/Comfy-Org/ComfyUI-Manager first

NTA but they are giving good advice, start without crazy nodes, since you already know the WebUI lingo you'll get settled in no time.
Start installing custom nodes as you need them, the three common ones I like are:
-efficiency-nodes-comfyui (LoRa Stacker and Ksampler)
-Comfyroll_CustomNodes (Apply stacker with model and clip, Upscale image)
-was-node-suite-comfyui (Very customizable image save node)
And if you want a base template with an upscaler just download this image and drop it into your UI, bare in mind, it will pop up a window telling you to install the nodes I mentioned above, in general be careful with that because there are people that upload malware, but you can trust me because I say so

I feel your pain man, I went from doing intricate regional prompting in A1111 to struggling to understand the basic stuff on Comfy, but I think it's worth it and if you take it easy you'll be doing what you did in forge and more in no time

So there's virtually no good reason to use either Tensor or Civitai now.
Both sites filter you for using certain tags and are constantly crippling any way to get free credits.
I have no fucking way to upgrade my shit to download models, LORAs and have them run locally 'till next year at best.

WAN and all the new models should be coming to reforge soon. Technically it's implemented but the memory management is pretty fucked so he has to update that first. I am probably gonna hop off the comfy train if that actually works out ngl. Whatever comfy did with the latest updates have just completely messed up all the models (I oom like every 3 gens now...)
