One of Hololive's big strengths and "moats" is interpersonal bonds between women and that girl's school atmosphere that there's huge demand for. Male presence disrupts that, whether they're schizo or not. Not all male vtubers are Jurard but either way, they ruin the vibe.

Hololive pushback against collabs was not even only related to male vtubers, Coco misguided interest in collabing with Projekt Melody got as much pushback (even internally) and so did the HoloEN girls wanting to collab with Veibae and Nyanners, and so did Kiara wanting to collab with Pomu.
The thing is not even particularly about collabing with males but collabing with vtubers which will be rejected by the audience of the vtuber for whatever reason.
