After checking out the VOD for this channel yesterday it seems like this is like these are idol trainees and they have their managers (bottom right of the picture) go through an idol practice on stream. One of those parts is where they have to sing a K-Pop song but the managers pick who all should be singing by lighting up the part of the stage where they are standing.

These "managers" are practically always on screen and sometimes get the full camera. If I were to guess, I think these 'managers' are the actual draw for the audience (going by how fast the chat goes when just they are on screen) and the idol trainees are just content for them to play with.

I read a wiki page and this is exactly what it is. They’re the five winners of an audition process that wrapped up in June I think. So, now they’re spending the next one to two years as members of this group. Based on their numbers I’m heavily predicting this ends after a year and this project is dropped entirely.
