what you and the SOME of the fanbase care about isnt the only thing phase has to think about though.
it is decorum among vtubers, corpo or otherwise, to generally not bring up alts, at least not without permission from said person.
phase has to balance being professional with both their own talents, their fanbase, and the general vtubing sphere as a whole.
its not a good look for them to acknowledge doxxing of an alt, no matter the reason.
its also yes, just as arguable its not good to have a talent celebrating a political assassination.
neither options a good one, especially when i guarantee you the overall vtuber sphere itself is probably hotly divided on the issue.
at the end of the day, he has a business he is in charge of keeping afloat, and that is where his priorities need to lie. and at the moment he probably doesnt have enough data to know which option will result in the least amount of damage.
most likely he'll roll the dice on just telling everyone to completely ignore it and pretend nothing happened.
