I call BS. The first goal isn't even against GPT's model spec. To call the examples given for goal 2 a jailbreak is a bit of a stretch. They were too minimal to be considered actionable. No measurements, instruments, protocols, etc. Lastly, 4o-mini? Really? The university couldn't afford proper 4o?

The former is better, like the other anon said. When writing messages as individual characters in group chats, the AI has a tendency to move the scene forward while only taking in consideration the character that's currently speaking, and things end up feeling messy and disconnected.
But if you already have 2 or more character cards and want to chat with them at the same time without having to make a new card combining both (or if you want the flexibility of being able to add and remove new characters mid-chat without messing with the card itself), I actually made a card for that:

This is basically a narrator that reads the other cards present and uses them as needed to keep the chat more organised and prevent the usual issues you find on multi-card chats. I tested it with Claude, and the result is pretty much the same I'd get with multi-character cards.
Make sure to read the Creator's Notes for how to properly use it.

I can't speak to using Gemini as a backend but I have a fairly elaborate setup of having SillyTavern hosted on a Dell micro PC running Windows Server that I keep on, which lets me access it from any device on my home network. Then I have a Raspberry Pi running a Wireguard server so I can access it when I'm not at home. There may be easier ways.

Does error status 429 too many requests mean that I crammed too many fucking tokens into my bot? I took a basic game system bot and expanded it over time and now the bot itself is almost 5k tokens and the bot won't generate any replies anymore. Using deepseek r1. I just want to throw AI likenesses of vtubers into degrees of lewdity isekai fantasy edition adventures.

HTTP error 429: Too Many Requests almost never means “too many tokens in a single message.” Instead, it means:

Quota exhaustion: You might have hit their daily or monthly request/compute cap, depending on the service plan.

If the problem was too many tokens, the error would typically be something like:

400: Bad Request (if the input exceeds the max token limit), or

A model-specific error like “input too long” or “context length exceeded.”

If the bot never replies anymore even when waiting a while, you should check whether their account has run out of credits or whether DeepSeek’s service is throttling them.

If you can get a reply after waiting a bit, it’s just rate limiting.
