i'm software engineer and i use llm daily for work, and quite often it drives me insane with how bad it's responses are, how poorly it works in the slightly longer than instant run (context gets littered way too quickly) and how poorly it works with sources. i've also toyed with sloppa generation for a bit myself, and desu it's atrocious, probably worse than software engineering stuff. it can generate generic anime girl, but anything deliberate is a hell, kind of. problem is that in the end, llm is a stochastical tool, and each operation accumulates error, so the more "steps" you want, the less chances you're getting what you want. corpo fags try to convince everybody that just one more parameter, just one more datacenter would fix everything, but that's just lying, you can't win against basic math statistic and probability theory.

sloppagen just creates noise, due to high throughtput. and it creates fake sense of achievement at first, but later you realise that it's pointless - you just trash 95% of gens, even ones that have no visible error. just because it's pointless sloppa. it does not convey what you want to, it's just a noise you'd filter out in your mind. i feel much better from drawing naked anime girls poorly. i can see the progress, i can analyze my drawing, i can think about steps to improve, i can think about technique, i can put what i want on the canvas, i can grow my skill. i enjoy drawing and seeing art, i do not enjoy sloppa noise and i'm tired of filtering it with my mind.

I was a very early adopter so I was pretty familiar with its limitations before it was thrust on everyone else. There are niche uses for it, mostly as a search engine and for recreation, so I'm glad to have it. I could not imagine trying to make it do a real person's job with no oversight though.

yeah, that's true, and i still use it in my job. it works as a rubber duck for me oftentimes, and sometimes ironically it helps me to explore the design more quickly with rejecting it's ideas. i've often found that i'm not sure how to design some stuff, i ask llm, it gives some atrocious shit and with some iterations after rejecting and splitting some stuff i get some design. however, i'm a senior engineer, and i'm able to do a code review and has a mindset for maintaining at least some sort of code quality and architecture. i have to hire a junior and i'm horrified of people who code entirely through llm

If da pwes re-debuts as an indie and becomes about as large as Mint, Doki, or an ex-holo, then that would be confirmation she wouldn't join Phase. At that size, Phase would be a downgrade. With Vshojo gone, hololive is practically the only step up when you're an indie of that size. But that's assuming she gets that big and also assumes she doesn't join something early on.

The way to have potential to be a big indie is to have been a female in NijiEN, be considered one of the good ones, and to not be a literal who while in Niji. Unfortunately, some females who were good ones were literal who's, so while they are liked as indies, they didn't get big like Mint or Doki.
Does this guarantee success? Who knows. The only time I could claim that is if you're an ex-holo. But it seems to be a pattern.

I'm not totally for or against her joining but I don't think the timetable is much of a rebuttal. You won't know if Rosemi would be the foundational member that joined a year ago and they had to find genmates for her afterwards, or she could have been a last-minute addition to a wave that was cooking for 2 years or 1 year or 6 months. The biggest problem is that there is one member already confirmed and she graduated just a few weeks before Rosemi. The other thing that really sticks out is Miki saying she might stream again, which was interpreted as "I may quit streaming" but could easily mean "I may stream as Miki if my shit gets delayed."

Realistically... don't hype up hating them when you may have to join them in just a few weeks. Phase is not Niji and does not have the same strict rules. A lot of people have been surprised, even personal friends of the vtubers, and several debuts have happened extremely slow or lightning fast. Now would be the perfect time for a vacation if she has a debut coming up, and there are no rules against being active on your PL... You're just punishing yourself if you get too attached to your position. If you aren't a Phase watcher you'd have no way of knowing the signs and you'd never catch the jokes and leaks.

And for what it's worth, pretending to know what /pcg/ wants or really thinks or whether they're serious is impossible even if you were there 24/7. Don't read into it too much. You know and I know the catalog will always interpret them as evil or false. There is no way to know.
