1. Be someone who actually enjoys interacting with chat. You don't have to respond to every message, but make us feel like our mesages aren't just being sent into a void.
2. Don't be a chud. Younger suburbanite men might fall for it, but those of us with jobs and even a teensy bit of empathy will see right through it.
3. Be okay with the fact that you're not going to appeal to everyone. Something about you makes you unique, even if you don't know what it is yet. Lean into that thing and the right audience will come.

I think all the big vtubers in the west are really boring and only coast by from coomers, which in the case of people like zentraya is pretty blatant. While some jp streamers are better at being actually good streamers like tsukino mito salome and kuzuha, and of course kizunai ai, western ones are mostly boring react content or boring in general. There's some entertaining 2views though, sigrid and bird where pretty good around 2021-2023 and I like yumie.
